Harold remembered being in the air raid shelter of his parents’ house at 59 Tompkinson road, Nuneaton. He used to play football and cricket. Was always a fun loving chap and attended the boys club on Avenue road for ten years. He worked at the brick yard when he left school and then went onto work at the Morris motors on the con rad section. He met Mavis and married in 1963. Together they had two children (Andrew and Tracy) who he thought the world of and Harold used to take them everywhere. Harold and his neighbour went fox hunting during the Atherstone Hunt. When off work he would go hunting three times a week.
